London (loans-park) July 25, 2006: It has emerged that financial gain is no more the only motivational force for investors in the UK. While choosing their pension investments, people are now considering ethical values. Friends Provident Lasting Lifestyles came up with this revelation.
Report shows that 23 per cent invest their pension fund for the best possible return. On the other hand, for 16 per cent two reasons, making money and social responsibility are equally important.
Nu Authentics, as the socially conscious group of investors are known, are encouraging companies to take more responsible attitude. This group of investors prefer pensions with ethical, social, civic and environmental outlook.
SRI marketing manager at Friends Provident, Julia Dreblow told that people were increasingly looking to do their bit for society. She added that those who were already buying organic and regularly recycling, looking at the impact their investment could have was simply the next logical step.
